THE TWYFORD is a performing arts and community venue located in Merimbula on the Sapphire Coast of NSW Australia.

The Twyford Merimbula

We work, meet and perform on the lands of the Djiringanj people. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and to all First Nations people visiting and working in our venue.

Twyford Hall was built on this site in 1931 by the people of Merimbula on land held in Trust for the community.

In addition to the Hall, a new Theatre and Foyer Bar/Cafe are nearing completion behind the Hall and are expected to open in early 2024.

We host professional touring and community performances, rehearsals, meetings, exhibitions, conferences, arts markets and workshops, functions, book launches, community events and film & music festivals.

To work together in a spirit of co-operation, openness and integrity to meet the artistic, social and cultural infrastructure needs of the community.

To provide a modern state of the art Theatre complex as well as maintaining the heritage listed Twyford Hall for the artistic, social and cultural activities of the community on a non-profit basis.

Be open and responsive to the needs of the time within our communities. Respond to the needs of people in so far as our resources and capabilities allow. Utilise our resources effectively. Evaluate regularly, in the spirit of accountability, our response to our Mission commitment.

The Twyford is a proud member of Performing Arts Connections Australia (PACA), Merimbula Chamber of Commerce, Sapphire FM Radio, Merimbula Tourism Inc and Eden Tourism Inc
