Free Marketing
Your event will be included in Events on our website, our Facebook page, Instagram page, e-news to our subscribers and a mention in our twice-daily radio spot on SapphireFM, at no charge. Social media posts are also shared to key local groups and co-hosts.

A still or video ad can be displayed on our Foyer (landscape) and external (portrait) digital display screens in HD 1080x 1920 format – minimum 150dpi.

The What’s On Noticeboard on the Market Street corner of Twyford Hall is suitable for A4 up to A2 size portrait format posters, one poster only per event. Use is free for all events happening in our venue. Please provide an A2 or A3 sized poster for your event to the Venue Manager who will post it for you inside the glass cover. Please do NOT place posters on the outside of the glass. Any posters for events not connected to The Twyford will be removed.
Paid Marketing Packages
Additional marketing services such as paid ads for online media/newspaper/radio, poster printing & distribution, program printing etc can be arranged for a fee. We can advise you on what works for local audiences. Contact the Venue Manager for details.
Programs
We encourage you to consider the environment and avoid or minimise printing programs. A QR Code and/or link to an online program hosted on our website can be made available via email to ticket holders and/or displayed on the foyer screen.
Ticketing & Box Office Services
The Twyford provides a full ticketing service for your event including online, phone and in-person sales. 97% of tickets in our venue are purchased online. We accept a wide variety of payment methods.
For free ticketed events, a $120 event setup fee applies.
For paid ticketed events, we charge commission between 7% (registered NFP) and 15% (commercial hires). GST is applied to all ticket sales.
Booking fees are charged back to online buyers on checkout by the booking platform, depending on the price of the ticket (50c + 2.5% for tickets as at 1 July 2025). Card and ticket fees also applies to in person card sales, ticket fee only is charged to cash buyers.
Merchandise or Cafe/Bar preorders can be added to ticketing on request (see also merchandise below).
Tickets can be printed at home or saved to mobile devices, and are scanned by our trained ushers at the door for prompt show starts. Ushers can also check bookings on their scanning device if patrons forget their tickets.
A producer login can be provided to the Hirer/Producer to monitor ticket sales. A box office report is provided to the Producer at the end of the event and agreed box office shares, and royalties if applicable, are paid on receipt of an invoice from the Hirer/Producer. Should the show be cancelled by the Hirer, a rescheduling/refund processing fee may apply to cover the costs of moving. refunding bookings. This is a minimum of $66 and may be higher depending on how close to the opening date the event is cancelled and how many ticketholders must be contacted.
Merchandise
A merchandise table can be setup on request at no charge if you’re handling your own sales.
If you prefer Twyford staff to handle EFTPOS and cash sales during your event, we charge 13% commission. Contact the Venue Manager for details.
Food & Drink
The commercial Kitchen is a shared space and can be used for basic tea/coffee making/microwave use (no charge) right up to full food service preparation or catered functions (bookings and additional charges apply).
The Twyford is a fully licenced venue with an On-Premises licence. The Twyford’s RSA qualified and trained staff are required to serve and supply alcohol to your guests. BYO is not permitted under our licence anywhere in the venue. Alcohol may not be taken away from the venue.
Alcohol is not permitted backstage or on stage. Everyone working on a show including artists, crew and volunteers are expected to adhere to Work Health & Safety laws and not consume alcohol or drugs before or during a show. Rider requests containing alcohol will not be granted.
Post-show drinks are available from our bar for artists, crew and volunteers once work has finished.
Food and free water must be available during alcohol service. NSW Liquor laws and the Twyford House Policy must be adhered to by all hirers and producers and their staff/volunteers.
If you do not wish your event to have alcohol available (eg for kids or school shows), please advise when you are booking the venue.
The Twyford is a registered food business. We provide basic catering services such as morning/afternoon teas, light lunches and snacks and can arrange larger scale catering on request.
Food service by 3rd party caterers can be brought into the venue subject to prior proof of food safety certification/licensing and liability insurance being provided.
Staffing & Other Services
Under Work Health & Safety regulations, minimum staffing requirements apply to events. All staff working on any event, whether volunteer, paid or a hirer, must undergo induction training including emergency procedures.
The Twyford provides fully trained staff for your event including:
- Duty Manager
- Technical Manager – specification review & lighting/audio/AV design, induction and supervision of crews on site
- Stage crew for bump in/out
- LX / Audio /AV prerigging
- Technical Operator(s) during performances
- Ticketing services
- Merchandise sales
- RSA-certified Bar Staff
- First Aid Officers
- Fire Warden
- Fire Safety Officer (if haze used)
- Trained Volunteer Ushers
- Cleaner
Minimum call Monday-Friday: 3-4 hours (depending on classification). Sunday/Public Holidays: 4 hours.
Twyford staff are covered by the conditions of the Live Performance Award. Meal breaks, overtime, Sunday/public holiday and after midnight penalty rates apply.
We can also help you to source local staff for: stage management, rigging, security, catering, wardrobe, streaming production and camera operation.
Please book staffing services well in advance – we are in a regional area with limited qualified technical staff who are in high demand during festival and peak holiday periods.
Cleaning
Hirers are expected to leave the venue in a tidy state and to wipe down tables, sweep floor, wipe up spills and clean any kitchen appliances they use.
Venue hire rates include professional cleaning and sanitising of all public areas including floors, toilets and kitchen benches before and after your event by The Twyford’s cleaner.
If your event has multiple sessions and you require cleaning in between, please allow at least 2 hours between sessions for our cleaner to attend. Additional cleaning during your hire period will be charged back to you.
Confetti, glitter, foam and other difficult-to-clean materials containing microplastics or which will cause stains on upholstered seats or carpet are NOT permitted in our venue. Please avoid using balloons and other plastic decorations as they can cause injury to our local sea and bird life.
Additional cleaning fees will be charged if the venue is left in an untidy state by hirers or visiting casts/crews.
Please dispose of garbage and recycling in the bins provided, or remove from the site if you have unusually large quantities.
Insurance
All hirers and Producers must provide proof of public liability insurance before bookings are confirmed.
Loss or damage to our building or equipment will be charged back to the hirer/producer.
