The first single of the album “Moonshine and Whiskey” made it into the top 40 country music charts and the title track “Mogareeka Moon” was a semi finalist in the International Song writing Competion.

Garry Carson Jones

As the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for Harvest, Garry combines his signature sound with the talents of his bandmates to create something fresh and exciting
In 2001 Garry was outright winner of the Merimbula Country Music Talent Quest winning both singer/songwriter and recorded songwriter sections. During 2003 he made the pilgrimage to Tamworth, buoyed by his local success, and entered the Tamworth Songwriters’ Assoc. Tiara Awards, and was rewarded with a berth amongst the finalists. That same year Garry was a finalist in the Steel City Champion of Champions in Newcastle and came third in the National Champion of Champions showcase in Canberra. In 2005 he again entered the Tamworth Songwriters’ Assoc. songwriting contest and again was rewarded with two songs amongst the finalists.
Dean Gray
Perhaps Dean was an octopus in a previous life – he plays acoustic and electric guitar, pedal steel guitar, dobro, mandolin and tenor banjo.
Prior to moving to the Bega Valley in 2019, Dean lived, worked and taught music in Sydney, where he was a member of the Sydney Mandolin Orchestra and played jazz guitar in The Northside Big Band and tenor banjo in The Great Gatsby Orchestra. He now runs the Wolumla School of Music, teaching his vast array of skills to students in the local district and beyond.
Dean started on classical guitar in the 1980’s and later studied jazz guitar, improvisation, baroque and early music performance practice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music He studied classical mandolin with Fiona Horbach, who was the first classical mandolinist to be admitted to the Sydney Conservatorium. He learned dobro from Australian country legend Gary Brown.
Jackson Fisher
Don’t be fooled by that innocent face and casual demeanour – Jackson is musical “killer on the loose“!
A talented singer, song writer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Jackson has performed at the Blues Festival, Splendour in the Grass, Woodford Folk Festival, The Basement In Sydney, The Metro, the Round House and a long list of venues around the country, sharing the stage and/or supporting artists such as Midnight Oil (on his 19th birthday!) Spy vs Spy, The Love Bus, Pete Murray, Claire Bowditch and Wendy Matthews just to name a few.
Jackson is a strong participant in many musical oufits on the far South Coast including Red Heart Blue with his vocalist/partner Corine Masliah.
Shayne Jones
What can you say about a bloke who’s been playing drums for as long as Garry has been playing guitar?
Being brothers, they were given musical instruments for Christmas when they were kids. Garry got a set of drums and Shayne got a guitar. They soon realised that life would better for everyone if they swapped – and history was made. So when it comes to writing his bio, Shayne says “Just ditto Garry”. Yep, he’s a drummer. (And he sings too).
Colleen Brown
You’ve got to be exceptional to share the front of stage with Garry and Colleen is no exception!
Colleen studied singing at the Australian Institute of Music under the guidance of jazz musician Dorian Mode. To further her passion for music, Colleen completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at The University of Western Sydney. Since moving to the Sapphire Coast, Colleen has connected with many talented local musicians and is often featured with her friends at the Down South Jazz Club and Merimbula Jazz Festival, as well as teaching singing and taking on many adventures with her husband and five children.
Julian Gonzalez
Precise, passionate, professional, powerful and pretty cute as well – Julian has it all!
Julian studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has worked as a professional musician across a range of genres, including classical, jazz, and contemporary rock. His performances span prestigious venues such as Parliament House Grand Hall, The Star, the International Convention Centre, The Concourse Chatswood, Sydney Showground, Dunbar House, and Curzon Hall.
Since relocating to the Bega Valley, Julian has supported local artists such as Sam Stevenson, Benji and the Saltwater Sound System, and Zackerbiks. He is also a founding member of Harvest Band, Stillwater Trio, Geese Fly South, and Of Men and Monkeys, each reflecting his diverse musical palette.
In addition to his performance career, Julian holds a Master’s degree in Creative Music Therapy, allowing him to share the therapeutic power of music with people from all walks of life.
