    YOUTH MUSIC WORKSHOP
    The Twyford – Theatre venue
    11.00am Sunday 30 November 2025

    This is a unique chance to take a free masterclass with some of Australia’s top contemporary classical musicians including Claire Edwardes OAM (percussion), Lamorna Nightingale (flutes) and Jason Noble (clarinets). The musicians will work with local music enthusiasts to expand their concept of what it is to create original music in real time through structured improvisation activities all the while developing excellent listening skills. Come along and get excited about experimenting with and exploring sound in creative new ways with Ensemble Offspring!

    • Length: 60 minutes
    • Suitable for young musicians 18 and under who have some experience playing an instrument, especially percussion or woodwind – other instruments and vocalists welcome!
    • Genre: Contemporary classical, Free/Structured Improvisation
    • The Twyford Foyer Cafe will be open before and during the workshop should parents/guardians wish to wait for their student there.
