INTRODUCING RICHARD CHARLES: ‘YA GOT TIME FOR A STORY?’
On the Winter Solstice of 2025 —Australian musician and producer Richard Charles launched his debut album ‘Ya Got Time for a Story?’ along with a brand-new website, music video, lyric book, and the announcement of his first headline show.
Written between 2020 and 2025, the album was recorded, mixed, and produced by Richard himself in a hand-built studio on the Far South Coast of New South Wales. Collaborators include Mitch Broadhead on drums and Barney Briggs on bass and bowed double bass, with Richard playing all other instruments.
Intentionally released outside the algorithm, Ya Got Time for a Story? won’t be found on Spotify or digital distribution platforms. Instead, it streams exclusively on the new site: www.richardcharles.music
On 25 July Richard Charles (aka Ricky Bloomfield) will return to The Twyford (after his role as Fagin in Spectrum Theatre’s Production of Oliver!) and Richard Charles, Mitch Broadhead and Barney Briggs will play songs from the debut record, live on stage for the very first time.
