The Twyford lit up its new Theatre building on 22 June 2024 – under the full moon of the winter solstice – at a tour hosted by the builder Steve Hodgson, with a small number of Twyford members and special guests, including Mayor Cr Russell Fitzpatrick and Deputy Mayor Helen O’Neill.
The Bioluminescence Project youth team put on a spectacular lighting display on our Market St facade, thanks to funding from Festivals Australia.
Mayor Fitzpatrick also switched on the new illuminated building signs on the Theatre.
A gala opening concert and open day for the community will be held later in 2024 once the occupancy certificate has been signed.
